Gossip is gooood!

Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one still watching Gossip Girl? When it hit TV a few years ago it hit with a big bang, and I feel like in recent years it has come to a bit of a fizzle for most. But I personally think I love the show more now then ever and the wardrobe on the show is the driving force behind my feelings. fashionably it seems that they've reached a plateau with last years and this years seasons. They are just really getting it right without missing a beat. It's so reminiscent of when Sex and the City became a driving force in the fashion world. It was not in season 1 or 2 with their fried hair and bad dye jobs which I found literally painful to watch. The turning point for Sex and the City came around seasons 3 and 4. The women became more put together and a truer representation of the city they lived in. It was sleek and chic with a realness that felt effortless. Women started paying attention and following their lead. I feel the same thing with the style of gossip girl now, it has suddenly become believable and relatable. And that has thrust me into true and utter adoration. These girls are the NY fashion scene at its best, and I love how they incorporate all aspects of it. I notice every thing from the accessories to the high end brands, hosiery, and shoes. I hope that everyone will take notice and if you are a lover of the art form that is fashion, make a little time on your Monday nights for gossip girl : )

This is one of my all time favorites! Serena in head to toe Catherine Malandrino

                                                                  I love this red coat

Even though she's no longer a character on the show I think little J's style is so indicative of my own. No one did baby doll as good as her, well other then me lol. It's probably no coincidence that she's a Brooklyn girl.

Raina Thorp's stint on the show was also short lived, but I loved every single thing they dressed her in. This outfit was also one of my favorites.

Just hang them on a clothes line

So the other day I grew incredibly bored with the bare yellow wall over my bed. So I decided to make myself a clothes line, minus the clothes. I had found these two vintage photographs in Paris and the other is by one of my favorite photographers. What a great way to display photos without the cost and hassle of buying frames. All I used was some thin metal wire from the hardware store that I previously used for jewelry making. I also used two push pins, and I attached the photos with mini binder clips both from Staples. Make one for yourself : )

No one does Autumn like Ali!

When Autumn comes around I begin to think one thing "What would Ali wear?" I think Ali McGraw has an amazing sense of style that still resinates today. Whenever I put on a heavy knit cardigan and dark denim jeans skinny jeans and pair them with luscious brown leather boots I feel so very Ali. Try adding some Ali to your wardrobe and make it a beautiful Autumn : ) These photos can show you how!
